Swiftships Hosts an Iraqi Ministry of Defense Team

Swiftships hosted an Iraqi Ministry of Defense Team accompanied by U.S. Forces in Iraq (USFI) Members.  This Joint USFI/Iraqi Team toured the Swiftships’ Training Village and the first Iraqi Patrol Boat currently preparing for gun trials.  The team joined Swiftships’ CEO Lutfi Hassan and President Calvin Leleux and the rest of the Swiftships team for lunch aboard the village berthing barge named “Unity”. The group then toured the class rooms, offices, and the trainers.

The team viewed the operations of the Full Mission Bridge Trainer Including the Bridge Area, Command and Control Area, Engineers Station, Communications Station and Instructors Area.  They then participated in the demonstration of the Small Arms Trainer and viewed the Firefighting Trainer.

After seeing the Training Village the team toured the shipyard and the first Iraqi patrol boat (P301).  Calvin Leleux hosted the team aboard P 301 for a short river run demonstration of the boats capabilities.

Also present was Captain Galinis, Supervisor of Shipbuilding Gulf Coast and Mr. Mike Barton, Case Manager NAVSEA.  Captain Galinis oversee the Iraqi FMS case for NAVSEA and has a full SUPSHIP team at Swiftships.
